Gaited horses from Brazil – Horses Without Limits

Mangalarga Marchador are the third largest horse race in the world. In the Brazilian Association ABCCMM 5.000 breeders and 387.000 registered breeding horses are being cared for. Each year about 70.000 foals are born. Nevertheless, there is little knowledge about these wonderful animals here in Europe. What horses are they, what do they look like and how are they used?

They are persistent, easy to ride and harmonious in the building. Iberian and Portuguese ancestors have given them a high dressage talent and for those seeking an all-round riding horse that in addition to its rather expressive and proud appearance, has a clear mind, will be confirmed in his expectations by a Mangalarga Marchador. As an additional attraction, this breed also has a particular gait: The Marcha! The rider can stay with this pace over long distances almost vibration-free with a high comfort.
